We’re all going on a summer holiday – but what will our Spurs team look like when we get back?

Who would want to Leave Tottenham Hotspur Football club right now? The new stadium is already half way to being completed, according to Populous Project Architect, Tom Jones. We are going to play next season in front of a crowd 3 times the size of what WHL could hold and we are in the Champions League for the second season in a row. But that is obviously not enough for some players. If reports are to be believed our 3 English players Dier, Rose and Walker will be somewhere else come August which is a crying shame if it’s true. Not only are they very talented players to watch, they are also English players and one of the things I love about Spurs, is how many English players we have in the squad. Pochettino however, ‘remains insistent that Tottenham’s key players are content to stay put amid other speculation linking the likes of Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker with summer exits.’ So we wait and see if they do go and, who to, and how many sheckles our Daniel can squeeze out of their next owners because they won’t be cheap. Will Lamela play next season, will he play football ever again? Whoever we bring in next I hope this time they are a success we need to build on this squad with players who have skills that can add more options to our game.

Sissoko is linked with a move to Real Madrid Barcelona and AC Milan, personally I wouldn’t link him to a railing. Sissoko may be dropped against Hull with Kieran Trippier likely to still be out and Walker has an ‘ankle’ problem. Dier may go right back, with Poch reverting to a back four in order that he can bring back Eriksen, who had the night off against Leicester, leaving Sissoko on the bench. Poch put Sissoko on display against Leicester in order to show clubs what they are going to get for their money. He did grow into the game and you can’t blame the bloke for being very short on confidence but for me he ain’t a Spurs player! Onomah is in South Korea on England U20 so that makes for a very interesting bench on Sunday once again. We saw a glimpse of the future with Filip Lesniak coming on for Moussa and it will be interesting to see what the next generation of Poch’s youngsters will look like with Shashoua, Marcus Edwards, Shayon Harrison, Josh Onmah and Lesniak filtering their way up into the first team squad not to mention Cameron-Carter Vickers and Kyle Walker-Peters coming up. I wouldn’t be surprised to see a lot of those names appearing in next seasons League and FA Cup competitions and possible League games to rest first team players for the CL and the bigger Prem fixtures. Next season we will probably see more rotation of the squad as Poch mix and matches more to protect players like Moussa Dembele who has become an integral part of our midfield spine.

Hull’s Marco Silva has a major injury list, he is unable to call on Moses Odubajo, Will Keane, Ryan Mason, David Meyler, Lazar Markovic and Abel Hernandez through injury. Omer Elabdellaoui and Harry Maguire are doubts, with Maguire having perhaps already played his last game for the club. Maguire is out of Contract and said to be on our Radar! Michael Dawson and Curtis Davies could start at centre-back after Andrea Ranocchia was taken off at half time in the 4-0 loss at Crystal Palace. The Tigers will bid farewell to the top-flight this weekend having seen their immediate return to the Championship confirmed by a 4-0 defeat to relegation rivals Crystal Palace so you have to wonder how they will do against us! In our last 10 competitive meetings with Hull Spurs have never been beaten. So the Golden Gloves and the Golden Boots are on for Harry and Hugo and we can all sit back and hope to see a repeat of the Leicester Score. That shut their trappy support up on Thursday night didn’t it! And we also look forward, well I do, of seeing Liverpool beat Boro and City drawing with Watford so the Gooners miss out on a CL spot!

So its good bye from me and its good bye from them, enjoy the next 3 months of having no league football to talk about. We will reconvene on the 12th August and keep your eyes open on the 14th June when the new Premier League Fixtures will be announced. Thanks for reading VS, thanks for contributing, thanks for agreeing and disagreeing with me and thank you Poch and the Lads for giving us such an amazing season even if we didn’t win any silverware, as they say, it`s been like watching the most exciting 0-0 draw ever! COYS!
