The Real Madrid attacker was simply unplayable in his final season with the north London club, with the Wales international claiming both PFA Player and Young Player of the Year awards after hitting 21 goals in 33 league appearances and single-handily winning Spurs 24 points, as Tottenham missed out on a top-four finish by just a single point.

Yes
No
Bale was in a league of his own that year, and plenty of Tottenham fans on social media have been reminiscing fondly about the now 30-year-old’s final season with the north London club, with many supporters hoping Spurs one day bring him back for one final swan song.
Here’s what lots of Tottenham supporters had to say about Bale’s 2012/13 season on Twitter…
Peak Bale. Unbelievable player for these couple of years. Best in the world at this time. Easy.

This summer could see Bale leave Real Madrid for good, as reports by AS have suggested Los Blancos have run out of patience with the winger.
