Two Moments Turned CL Tie In Spurs’ Direction & Helped Decide City MotM

|

Tuesday evening turned unfortunately into a mixed night for Tottenham Hotspur fans as we welcomed Manchester City to the new White Hart Lane for our first leg Champions League quarter-final tie.

There were plenty of positives from the game itself given the organised display on show, and according to the statistics we used the ball far better than Pep Guardiola’s side did, and with hopes high of a decent result ahead of kickoff, everyone would’ve taken a narrow 1-0 advantage at the halftime stage and that was exactly what we got with Son Heung-Min’s late winner.

The concern was seeing Harry Kane limp off injured.

Statistics website Whoscored rightly gave us the better of the game with their player ratings.

Hugo Lloris topped the pile with his early penalty stop to keep a foundation in place for the win, and it’s no surprise to see Sonny take second spot with a score of 7.76. Completing the top five were Kieran Trippier (7.66), Toby Alderweireld (7.23) and Harry Winks (7.02).

Moussa Sissoko also received a seven score from the game.

All eyes for an update on Kane now and hopes for similar in the second leg.
