Whilst there have been issues within the fanbase given Tottenham Hotspur’s 2018/19 campaign so far, few can argue about where we sit in the Premier League table at this moment in time and we’ve also got an EFL Cup quarter-final to look forward to.
We’ll leave the Champions League for another time though.
With another pointless and boring international break getting in the way of real football in the month of November, Spurs can expect to have a number of players out representing their countries and two have already been confirmed – Erik Lamela returns to the Argentinian squad, and he’s been joined by youngster Juan Foyth.
🇦🇷 Congratulations to @JuanMFoyth and @ErikLamela who have been included in Argentina's latest squad 👏#COYS https://t.co/9sY6TQqeyf

With some cute comments on social media talking about Lionel Messi missing out (injured I think) with Lamela coming in, one big theme was, of course, his recall to the group – goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga also featured heavily in the comments and many thought it could only be a matter of time before he was called into the group given his performances for us when called upon.
Messi left out and Lamela in? I know who my goat is

You're right, Gazzaniga will start in Tottenham and Argentina.

After his last few performances, @GazzanigaPaulo deserves a call!

Feel bad that @GazzanigaPaulo is not being given a chance. Been really our unsung hero when Hugo has been out.

I hate international windows at the best of times, but congratulations where it’s due – just don’t get injured or fatigued, please.
