Mourinho makes 4 changes, Alli starts & Sanchez dropped: Predicted Spurs XI vs West Ham

|

Tottenham Hotspur are back in league action this evening and the side will be looking to build on Friday night’s performance with a victory in north London.

Jose Mourinho’s men welcome local rivals West Ham later tonight knowing three points would move them closer to the top five, and subsequently European football next season.

Prediction for tonight's game?

Hammers win

Spurs drew 1-1 with Manchester United on their return, and but for Paul Pogba’s dubious penalty, they looked good for a win.

So, will the Portuguese boss make any changes this time around? Given the sheer volume of matches inbound, it seems likely.

Here’s what we are predicting…

Spurs predicted XI vs West Ham

Mourinho could make as many as four changes from Friday’s team and his comments from his pre-game press conference has hinted towards that somewhat.

Speaking ahead of the fixture, the Spurs boss said: “As I told you in the last game, we had lost of options in defence and midfield but without Lucas and Dele and by playing with the other four from the beginning, we were a little short.”

Dele Alli is available for selection and could come straight into the starting XI at the expense of Erik Lamela whilst Lucas Moura may also be handed a start with Steven Bergwijn rested.

Heung-min Son and Harry Kane are likely to keep their places – a brave call with how knackered our talisman looked against Utd.

Another player who is likely to be called into the lineup is Giovani Lo Celso, he’ll replace Harry Winks with Moussa Sissoko pairing him to offer a bit more defensive stability.

The fourth and final change may come in defence with Toby Alderweireld coming in for Davinson Sanchez. It means Eric Dier keeps his spot at centre-back.

Ben Davies, Serge Aurier and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris all remain.
