Mourinho makes 2 changes, 27 y/o out & £50.5m man starts: Predicted Spurs XI vs Leicester

|

Tottenham Hotspur’s quest to land a place in Europe next season continues this afternoon but they’ll face a tough test as a team competing for a place in the top four are in town.

Jose Mourinho has steered his side back on track in recent weeks, clinching a win over arch-rivals Arsenal before seeing off Newcastle with ease in midweek.

PREDICTION?

Spurs win

Draw

Foxes win

Now they do battle with Leicester City, so what sort of side will the Portuguese boss select?

Here’s what we are predicting today…

Predicted Spurs XI vs Leicester City

There could be two changes at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium with the club sat just a point behind sixth-placed Wolves.

Hugo Lloris should remain between the sticks but Mourinho could tinker his backline after Serge Aurier’s difficult week off the pitch. His brother was tragically killed on Monday morning and the 27-year-old managed to play against Newcastle but he was pictured back with his mother a few days ago and could be absent here this afternoon.

The Spurs boss has prepared for such eventualities in training and there could be a surprise move seeing Moussa Sissoko lineup at right-back.

Ben Davies, Davinson Sanchez and Toby Alderweireld all keep their places.

It means there could be an introduction in midfield for young 19-year-old Oliver Skipp, who signed a new contract in midweek. Being selected today would certainly be the cherry on top.

'When he scored the goal the game finished for him. After that I needed 11 players for my defensive organisation and I had just 10.'

He may partner Harry Winks with Giovani Lo Celso sitting slightly higher whilst the final change comes out wide with Lucas Moura a doubt through injury.

Instead, Steven Bergwijn is handed a start. The €57m-rated (£50.5m) winger has scored three goals and provided one assist since his move in January.

While Heung-min Son and Harry Kane keep their places.

Tanguy Ndombele and Dele Alli aren’t expected to feature due to their respective injuries.

Three players Spurs must get rid off if they intend to be a top club, Harry Winks, Aurier and David Sanchez. They play foot ball backwards. They are a disgrace to a professional player that gets paid.
Go an learn football from Liverpool two full backs. Sanchez has been in this club for a long time. He is clueless how to play this game of football. He actually puts added pressure on the team. Winks cant even move the ball forward. He plays it sideways or backwards. Its a pain to watch these guys play.
