According to a report from Italian outlet Leggo, Tottenham are continuing their pursuit of AS Roma midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo ahead of Jose Mourinho’s first full season in charge after several months of scouting – prompting many Spurs fans to have mixed opinions on social media.
Zaniolo started 15 Serie A games for the capital club this campaign before tearing his ACL, scoring four goals in that time and firmly establishing himself as a first team regular under Paulo Fonseca – with Lilywhites scouts reportedly monitoring that progress.
Would Zaniolo become a Spurs asset?
Yes, terrific player
No, wouldn't fit in our team
The Italian midfielder, who has completed more dribbles than any other Roma player this season according to WhoScored, marking himself out as a creative asset, is now attracting Mourinho’s attention as he prepares for his full debut campaign next season.
However, despite the numbers, while a couple of supporters see the player as exciting, there are others who think he could be ‘the new Lamela’.

Risky buy considering he’s recovering from an injury.

Good player, don’t see how he fits in our starting 11 unless we drop Son/Bergwijn
