The imminent return of both centre backs Jonathan Woodgate and Michael Dawson from injury will thankfully once again see us at full strength in this department, after they have of course regained match fitness.

The question then begging an urgent answer will be who should be our number one pairing when this situation occurs?Has the arrival and displays of Sebastian Bassong convinced you that he should now be rightfully considered the long term prospect as partner alongside Ledley King, or does solid, dependable Woody deserve the call up to jump straight back into the team?

Maybe due to Ledley’s non-availability issues you are of the opinion that Ledley should be the one used in the back-up role in order to give Woody and Bassong the opportunity to forge a long term partnership.

And what of good old Daws?Does he really deserve that slap in the face of constantly being the one left in the shadows when he can always be relied on to do a job and battle and bleed for the cause?

How long can he honestly be expected to put up with that situation where he will never ever be more than second best?

Harry has tough decisions to make, and much like our forward line four he will have a difficult, if nigh on impossible job to keep them all happy.

Successful managers too have their problems. They just happen to be different ones from their counterparts who sit at the wrong end of the table.
