Super Saturday For Spurs With Double Announcement & Yes, He’s Back

|

With plenty of speculation linking Tottenham Hotspur with a move for Real Madrid left back Sergio Reguilon the last few days, a short time ago, the club confirmed that we had now got our man – and then they confirmed Gareth Bale was back!

23-year-old Spanish international Reguilon has only made 22 appearances for Real Madrid since coming through their youth ranks but the bulk of his experience comes from two spells out with Logrones and then Sevilla, as well as mixing in with their B team, captaining them on occasions.

Naturally, he comes in as Danny Rose’s replacement and takes the No 3 shirt for the 2020/21 campaign, penning a five year deal in the process.

Of more interest to most maybe is the confirmation that Bale has now joined us on a season long loan as well.

Not a great surprise given we knew he was with us and attempting to sort out a deal, but a nice one to get over the line given the history he holds with us.

He’s been given the No 9 shirt, and well, I don’t really have to explain anything about his career and achievements do I.
