Tottenham Hotspur booked their place in the quarterfinals of the Champions League on Tuesday evening with a 4-0 aggregate scoreline over German side Borussia Dortmund.
Having established a comfortable 3-0 lead in the Wembley leg of the tie, Dortmund came out strongly on home soil as they looked to save a few blushes from their disappointment and all credit to them, they gave it everything they had to give us an incredibly tough opening 45 minutes.
Having kept the clean sheet and not allowed them to get a second wind, Harry Kane played assassin and a few minutes after the halftime restart he found the back of the net to dampen their spirits, and then we saw the game out.
A classic, no. A solid and organised rearguard effort to ensure Spurs again just did enough, absolutely.
