Steed Malbranque is edging closer to his Tottenham Hotspur debut after Martin Jol revealed that the midfielder is doing well in training.
Jol believes that the former Fulham player could be ready to make his Spurs debut in around a week’s time after recovering from hernia surgery.
Steed is looking good,’ Jol told the official Spurs site.
‘We had a very good session where the intensity was high and he trained with me for the first time.
‘He did a lot of stamina sessions with the fitness coach before, but this was the first time he worked with the group and he did well. We trained for two hours and he had no problems.
‘Hopefully he can be back in a week’s time.’
