Stats: Spurs Take Three Points From Leicester As Harry Kane Gets A Break

|

Saturday evening saw Tottenham Hotspur make the trip to the Midlands for a rather ridiculous television inspired 7.45pm kickoff against Leicester City at the King Power Stadium.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino made no secret of his annoyance at the scheduling given our upcoming Champions League tie against Barcelona as he spoke post-game, but the match saw us maintain our third place spot in the top tier table as we took a comfortable 2-0 victory.

Goals from Son-Heung-Min and Dele Alli gave us the win as they scored from our two registered shots on target, but Poch did take the opportunity to rest Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane as those two featured as substitutes inside of the final 30 minutes of the affair.

Whilst comfortable, it wasn’t a classic but our ability to more grind out results continues.

With us now preparing for the Tuesday Nou Camp clash, it’s worth mentioning Alli’s goal was his 50th for the club across all competitions.
