Surprising Spurs MotM Following Leicester For Me – Agree

|

Saturday evening’s late Premier League kickoff gave Tottenham Hotspur a trip to Leicester City and their King Power Stadium.

We rightly had one eye on the Champions League and Barcelona and manager Mauricio Pochettino gave a rest to Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane as both found themselves on the bench, but that didn’t overly matter as Son Heung-Min gave us the advantage in first-half stoppage time, and Dele Alli gave us the 2-0 victory just prior to the hour mark in the game.

Whilst it wasn’t a classic again from the Spurs point of view, it was organised and productive but statistics website Whoscored gave their star man rating to Dele Alli with 8.70.

Sonny was in second spot with 8.54, but with more efforts at goal, an assist also to his name, better pass accuracy and a slightly better defensive shift with three tackles – I’d have given it to him really but I already know a few on Vital Spurs would disagree with that.

The top five were completed by often maligned Ben Davies picking up 8.10, Jan Vertonghen 7.45 and Harry Winks 7.29.

Eric Dier and Toby Alderweireld picked up the final seven-plus scores with 7.14 and 7.12 respectively.

All eyes to the Nou Camp!
