Spurs Youngster Gains More Recognition For His Development – “Start Him Against West Ham, Already Better Than Noble”

|

Tottenham Hotspur youngster Oliver Skipp has been crowned the Premier League 2 Player of the Month for September.

The 18-year-old is yet to make his senior debut for the first team but he has made three appearances for our Under 23 side in the EFL Trophy competition so does have senior experience given the opposition and despite his age, he is a regular at that level for the club and that shows how highly rated he is.

Manager Mauricio Pochettino is well aware of him and not only has he trained with the first team and been involved in pre-season, he was on the bench as an unused substitute in the game against Cardiff City ahead of the October international break so it can only be a matter of time before he debuts and gets a taste at a higher level.

Given how highly rated he is, Spurs fans have been utterly delighted with his latest recognition – especially as the PL2 Player of the Month gong is decided upon by votes from opposition managers.

Can only be a matter of time really before he starts getting introduced, and the pleasing thing is he’s not the only youngster we have high hopes for.
