Sunday afternoon’s Premier League clash saw Tottenham Hotspur make the short trip to Selhurst Park to face Roy Hodgson’s Crystal Palace side.
We always knew it would be a pretty tight game in reality given Palace’s preference for defence and it was key that we didn’t let them get their noses in front as that would simply encourage them to sit back.
It was a fairly balanced game in reality, although we arguably edged it and with Harry Kane giving us the lead 23 minutes in, it looked like it might go our way. Sadly for us, a Hugo Lloris error late on gave Palace their equaliser and that was how the game finished.
The hosts certainly had chances of their own in the game, but Spurs fans will be ruing our efforts as goalkeeper Vicente Guaita probably had the game of his life between their sticks – probably most notably Eric Dier’s effort at the death.
Unbeaten in nine though and all eyes to Liverpool next week.
