A five minute spell killed the game off …. but gave me a very relaxing second half!

I think that Lucas has to be the most under-valued player on our books, and has been for some time.

I’m pleased to see another (3-0 geof) win and clean sheet. Conte has got the players out of the downwards spiral and now they are looking much better.

But I am concerned we still struggle to break through / score against a park the bus defensive team after palace had 10 players left. Spurs players must improve their finishing of chances, and kill off teams, we need our points and goal difference improved a lot to maximise our top 4 position after game no.38….

3-0 that was ok, an easy win in the end, but maybe we should have scored 2 or 3 more.

Was it down to poor finishing? not used to it lol!

Was it down to over excitement at being in good goal scoring position? remember before Conte how many times did we get in those positions.

Was it “Game won” save ourselves cos we have another game on Tuesday?, the games are coming thick n fast.

Whatever the answers are, we Won, 3pts, up to 5th, Scum of the South next, another Win required there, then Home to the Hornets, again we take the sting out of their tail with another Win.

Things go our way 4th beckons.

Next the Chavs twice, our confidence must high be in these 2 games, this then followed by the NLD, a must Win.

Sorry Morecombe forgot about you, but hey ho! we will Win that also.

Under Conte its baby steps, getting stronger, so still slowly but surely. COYS

    Hi folks
Trust you all had a good Christmas.
Good post PY (hope you and yours are keeping well).
My main impression, when we were 2 up, and Palace a man down, I do feel that we went into the old Italian game management mode, hold what we have, perhaps we took our foot off the accelerator to a degree, as in many ways the game was won, however we did get another before the close of play even tho’ they indeed parked the bus.
We are progressing, but yesterday’s game/result will tell us very little, save that with 11 on the field for much of the 1st half, I think Palace had one half chance.
I do feel the true measure of our progress will be seen against Chelsea.
We do need to recruit around 3 new players in this TW, though some more are defo needed for next season.
Surprised EJ hasn’t surfaced, with his usual run down on, who is, available and who we should sign.
I still like Kessie, but not sure if he is the play maker we need.
We are in the discussion for 4th, and as I said in an earlier post, it looks like Euro football is taking its toll on W/Ham and Leicester.
Looking for a good win tomorrow.
    COYS.

A good post there, nothing more to add from me.

Prime viewing today Scum of the South v Spurs, a happy win for us. COYS
