With most Tottenham Hotspur fans having their eyes on a return to winning ways in tonight’s Premier League clash with Watford at Wembley Stadium, the rumour mill is now claiming that Spurs are in advanced talks with Monaco that could see Georges-Kevin Nkoudou depart on a loan spell for the remainder of the year.
Nkoudou’s future has been a pretty hot topic of conversation across the January transfer window, as despite his more recent return to the first team squad, he’s not overly in manager Mauricio Pochettino’s plans and given our initial expenditure on him, he’s obviously someone we can get a good chunk of money back on.
Sky Sports have reported this afternoon that although St Etienne have also been sniffing around him, Monaco have stolen the march on talks after we knocked back an earlier approach from Turkish side Besiktas.
It’s also reported that talks are continuing with Real Betis over Vincent Janssen’s reported departure.
Both would be loan deals, but it’s yet to be revealed as to whether Nkoudou’s loan would result in a buy option or not.
