“Late April fools?”, “Just another excuse” – Lots of Spurs fans react to huge transfer update

|

Tottenham news this week has gone from bad to worse, as recent reports suggest Jose Mourinho could be hindered in the transfer market before the summer window even opens.

The current pandemic has already had a huge short-term impact on our club, forcing Daniel Levy to place staff on furlough, but the long-lasting consequences may just be beginning.

The Daily Mail suggest Spurs are set to “drastically reduce” the budget available to Mourinho as the club expect their projected income to take a hit from the lack of football.

Are you annoyed by the board's recent actions?

Yes

No

It is still not known whether this season will actually resume and that means the club must prepare for all eventualities, including a scenario in which we don’t accumulate the funds to spend on the players Mourinho might like to bring in.

Other clubs around not only the UK but Europe may be in the same difficulty, and possibly be forced to let go of some of their talent to raise finances, and that could open up the market for us in different ways.

Despite that, the news has been met with significant opposition from our fanbase, with many sending criticism in the direction of Daniel Levy and the board.
