Spurs are at real risk of strengthening rivals with baffling transfer news

|

According to Di Marzio, Spurs right-back Kieran Trippier wants to move to Manchester United over Napoli this summer with the club looking for around £26m.

The England international has become our first-choice full-back but there always seems to be a sense with him we could perhaps have someone a little better.

Even so, being willing – if we are – to sell him for such a price and to potentially Manchester United makes no sense.

The Red Devils are a poor side these days and are struggling for consistency and reaching the top four, why would we risk letting them get back on track by signing one of our key men.

Of course, one right-back doesn’t make a difference but for that price in this market, it’ll be hard to get an adequate replacement.

For me, I think it is a risk we simply do not need to be taking and hopefully we will keep him on.
