Alan Shearer has predicted that Harry Kane will leave Tottenham next season if he goes another year with no silverware with the club.
Speaking on the Match of the Day podcast, the Premier League legend admitted that he can’t see the Spurs ace remaining with the north London side if Kane endures another trophyless season with his boyhood club, with Tottenham this season being eliminated from both the Champions League and FA Cup in recent weeks.
Despite ranking as one of Tottenham’s all-time goalscorers and a player some have tipped to beat the Premier League scoring record set by Shearer, Kane is yet to lift any form of silverware with the club, with the striker being involved in 13 goals (11 goals and two assists) for the north London club this season in the league.
Yet for Shearer, who won the Premier League with Blackburn Rovers, the drive to win something might see the England skipper leave Spurs for good.

Shearer said when asked what he thinks will happen to Kane in the future: “My guess is, if he doesn’t win anything in the next 12 months then he has to leave. He’ll do another year, I think, and if nothing comes in terms of trophies, then he’ll be off.”
Kane has been rumoured with a move away from north London as of late, with Goal reporting that the England captain won’t be willing to sit around for another Tottenham rebuild amid interest from Manchester United, yet a full season under Jose Mourinho could see Spurs claim silverware for the first time in well over a decade.
The Portuguese manager is a notorious winner with the former Manchester United man winning silverware at every club he has managed at, and with Tottenham, Mourinho will undoubtedly be aiming to bring trophies to Spurs after 12 years since their last triumph. And for Kane, this could be his make or break opportunity to finally win something with his boyhood team.
