Report: Key Tottenham superstar set to miss a number of crucial games following injury blow

|

Tottenham have confirmed that Heung-min Son is set to miss several weeks through injury after the attacking superstar sustained an arm injury against Aston Villa on Sunday.

Spurs confirmed on their official website that the South Korean international will go under the knife to repair a fracture to the right arm Son picked up last weekend despite the Tottenham winger playing the full 90 minutes as well as scoring the winning goal for Jose Mourinho’s side to secure a massive three points for the north London club.

The result, as well as Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat to Manchester United last night, has currently put Tottenham just one point off the west London club in the Premier League table, with the two rivals set to play against each other this Saturday in what is likely to be a massive clash for the race for Champions League football.

Is Heung-Min Son our best player?

Yes

No

With Son set to miss many weeks of football for Tottenham, Mourinho will be without one of his most important players and the club’s main attacking outlet since the long-term injury to Harry Kane in January, with the former Bayer Leverkusen attacker alternating with Lucas Moura for the centre-forward position as stats from Transfermarkt show.

The news comes as a massive blow for Tottenham, who will be without one of their most prolific attackers for the next few weeks which will see Son miss both Champions League ties against RB Leipzig as well as fixtures against Wolves and Manchester United, and for Mourinho, he will need to find a quick solution to this problem which could potentially derail Spurs’ season.

Son’s absence will be a crucial blow for Tottenham over the next few weeks, and Spurs will likely find it difficult in their upcoming games to replace a player who has been exceptional for the club since the injury the Kane.

Strange that only a couple of weeks ago, some pricks were saying that Son was lacking confidence, giving the ball away far too easily and playing like a headless chicken. Now the same pricks are thinking that the World is coming to an end because of Sons arm injury. Sure it’s a blow particularly as Kane’s not available but the remaining players have to step up which they are capable of doing.
