Pundit Believes This Spurs Star Has “Flourished” Since Stadium Move

|

Danish international Christian Eriksen once again showed his class and importance to Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday evening as we entertained Brighton and Hove Albion in our most recent Premier League clash.

It wasn’t a tight game at all given our dominance, but it was a narrow result and Eriksen’s 88th minute effort was all that separated the sides come the fulltime whistle – but it was a much needed win to take some pressure off in the battle for the top 4.

Eriksen, rightly, came in for plenty of praise at the fulltime whistle given his overall performance on the night but Sky Sports pundit Liam Rosenior (as quoted by Football London believes that the 27-year-old has stepped up another gear since we made the switch back to White Hart Lane.

“It’s a world class goal from a world class player. It’s an incredible strike, it’s his left foot, his supposed weaker foot. When you’re Brighton and you’re tired, you’re going deeper and deeper, you’re going to give up shots from outside the box but that’s an absolute arrow into the bottom corner. Since he’s come to this new stadium he’s flourished in this environment. He’s a world class player and you need that when you’re playing against a team that has defended as well as Brighton had in this game.”

Plenty will agree with his thoughts no doubt, but there will be those who disagree. However, with two goals and four assists to his name since the Crystal Palace clash, it’s difficult to not at least agree that it has given him some kind of lift.

At WHL itself it’s two goals and three assists from the eight we’ve scored.

Then again, you could argue that for a few players really.
