DoncasterHotspur – Have you got a point you are struggling to make or was that just a sound bite that didn’t actually mean anything ?

  • PompeyYid says:

Jesus peops, we drew last night, the plan worked, ok! I think we should have got all 3pts, deserved it more than them for all their possession.

Hoj will I ever forgive you, course I will lol!

Even with a good result at Arsefield, as me! the players were disappointed with the result, we still end up barracking, argueing with each other, is there a common denominator there/here somewhere?

Niall, well said, agreed mate politics needs to stay so fcuking far away from football as is possible.
My own Family members in Belfast feel the same as you, I expect, though not been in contact with them for many a year, did tell you once why! I think. Cheers mate, thumbs up!

  • DoncasterHotspur says:

Jod – I was just asking a question.

  • Niall D says:

    Cheers PY
    Thanks for the thoughts m8
Back to Football, I too thought we should’ve won.
It wasn’t pretty, but I now think we’re starting, just starting to learn how to win or manage games.
As has been said, we need to find a way past the defensive block ourselves now, as we don’t get those “lucky” deflections.
But hey, progress is being made and has been seen to be made.
Hoping for top 4, we’re still in there, final sprint home.
    COYS.

Wentworth – you cannot talk about us signing decent talent without mentioning names, how much they will cost, and where the money is coming from. If some of the money is coming from outgoings then I also need names, how much we will realistically get for them and who will sign them. Please respond with a Power Point presentation, although I will accept a PDF document.
These are serious issues, light hearted comments will not be tolerated!!!

Doncaster. I have put my cards on the table many times.
    Sign… Cucurella, Bissouma and Lamptey. £75 k.
Sell ….Winks, Lo Celso, N’Dombele, Emerson, Sessegnon, Gil, Berwijn, Sanchez. £100k.
Bring on some youngsters from the academy.
Is this serious re: statement good enough. I am sure there are other star players that could join Spurs.
But we need a massive clear out.

  • DoncasterHotspur says:

Wentworth – I was only having a joke. I was just making a joke about certain people who will not accept any discussion about players we need to sell/buy unless we give a detailed analysis about how we afford it. I grew with your potential purchases other than Lamptey. He seems to have injury issues. Clearly we need improvement in our wing backs. With better delivery from that area we would have won comfortably last night. We do have to be careful re home grown issues though.

    • Geofspurs says:

DH …. Can’t believe WW did not know you were joking! Made me smile, mate.

      • wentworth says:

I am ultra sensitive to any form of criticism Geof as I know I am always right. I was surprised because Doncaster is usually on my side unlike Jod who picks a fight with everyone. I can cope with him.
All the best to Doncaster for fooling me.
Roll on Thursday. Can we do it? Last chance saloon. Must win game.
Then we have Burnley (H) and Norwich(A).
They have Newcastle (A) and Everton (H).
        All easy games on paper!!!!

  • Niall D says:

    Ha ha DH
Good one chum, I ain’t going there again, after last time
    I wasn’t expecting the Spanish inquisition 😉
Plus my power point is down currently.
    😂

  • PompeyYid says:

Personally I think their fluke deflected goal was because Dier n Bents reacted to slowly allowing Dias to steady and get a shot in, my opinion anyway. COYS

  • PompeyYid says:

Regards our WB problem, I think we have 3 at the mo, Doh!, Emerson n Sess, now how do you all think them 3 will fair after a Close season of coaching from Conte, after all unless it just a dislike/hatred for the 3, we have to admit there is improvement over the last few games by all 3 under Conte’s approach!

There could even be turning Bergs into a WB.

I also think “free transfers” is the thing, Bale, Eriksen n Johnson(GK) would be a good start, would not have to play 90 mins every game, 2 no super subs, as the subs rule has changed to 5 for next season, thus means a minimum of 16 first choice.

With 2 of who I mentioned, it would allow for a plan B from Conte.

    Just some thoughts. COYS

  • Niall D says:

    Get outta my head PY😉
Except for Emerson and, TBH Johnson wasn’t even on my radar.
But I do think you have a point
    Here’s my take on it
As you say neither Bale nor Erikson would have to play every minute of every match.
They are both, in their own way game changers.
With Bale giving a phenomenal return, goals to minutes on the field, last time out for us.
Erikson knows, what Conte wants and can play his system.
So for say 70 mins in a game why not
Or a 30 min cameo again why not
If they are costing us nowt but wages.
They have the experience, still have the nouse and mostly, the fitness for another 2 or 3 years yet.
But for me, other than Emerson, the others are improving
I could see both him and Regs hit the Transfer list.

  • wentworth says:

Pompey….Doherty, Emerson and Sessegnon are no where good enough to be first choice. They are unreliable and are terrible crossers of the ball. They have improved a little but we would be better selling for better performers like Aaron’s, Cucurella and Lamptey.
Berg’s is never going to cut despite his swagger and inflated ego. He looks overweight and not dedicated to Spurs.
We do have some youngsters like the impressive Paskotsi who deserve a chance if we lose to Arsenal on Thursday.

    • PompeyYid says:

ww, thats a very good reply, but I was on about them 3 having a summer training with Conte, could make a hell of a difference, esp Sess, who has had injury probs and needs his confidence back.

Maybe if we sell the 3 and get the other 3 for ditto dosh then very good, otherwise where is all this extra dosh coming from?
