“One Hell Of A Player” “Class Act” – These Spurs Fans React To Players’ Wolves Performance

|

The other week the rumour mill surrounding Tottenham Hotspur started to feature the name of Wolverhampton Wanderers attacker Diogo Jota.

The 22-year-old was very impressive in the Championship title winning season for head coach Nuno Espirito Santo, but it’s not unfair to say he took some time to adjust to the Premier League level following their promotion.

Santo kept faith with him though and in recent times he’s really started to show his talent as Whoscored credit him with eight goals since the beginning of December, with an additional five assists.

Having scored against Manchester United on Tuesday evening (he also scored against them in the FA Cup clash) he clearly caught the attention of Spurs fans on social media, and plenty are now fully hoping that the speculation linking us with a move for him next summer now proves to be true.

With a reported £12.3million fee paid by Wolves to Porto for his services, it’s suggested they continue to have a slice of the next transfer fee as well, so any deal would be low ballpark £30million in my mind, and I’m being hugely conservative there – especially as he received his maiden call up for his country back in the March window.

The Portuguese player ticks all of the right Mauricio Pochettino boxes for me though.
