When two clubs are interested in the other’s respective players, sometimes a swap deal could be on the cards. However, it would seem Tottenham Hotspur fans are against the idea of one particular move happening if their reactions on Twitter are anything to go by.
AS Roma are considering a move for #thfc centre-back Toby Alderweireld and the idea that Nicolo Zaniolo could be included in any potential deal has been suggested. [The Guardian]

According to a suggestion by The Guardian, Spurs are believed to be keen on AS Roma’s Nicolo Zaniolo whilst the Serie A outfit are interested in Toby Alderweireld this summer.
The situation regarding the Belgium international defender is far from ideal as the 30-year-old has a release clause of just £25million in his current deal and it would hardly be a surprise to see a number of clubs try to take advantage of it (Guardian).
Zaniolo has been linked with a move to Tottenham in the past with Tuttosport making several claims over the last few months – their latest coming a couple of weeks ago (via Sport Witness) as they suggested Roma may have to sell him ‘cheaply’.
But, it would seem Spurs fans do not want to see Alderweireld to go and want the club to do everything in their power to keep him at the new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Many of them called for Tottenham to try and convince him to sign a new contract, whilst others were ‘not feeling’ the possibility of a swap between the two mentioned players.
Here are just some of their reactions…

I would prefer to keep Toby, but if he wants to go, happy to sell him to a lesser club in return for a good player and some money ????????
