Tottenham’s dismal display at the Emirates this afternoon has little positives to reflect on.
Hugo Lloris – 5
Despite an overall decent performance from the Frenchman, Lloris’ huge error for the second goal changed the game and swung the momentum back towards the home side.
Emerson Royal – 2
What can you say about Emerson? To put it kindly, the Brazilian simply isn’t good enough for this level.
Christian Romero – 5
I don’t think I am the first fan to think since recovering from his injury, Romero has not been the same player. Hopefully the Argentian can get back to his pre-injury levels – because when Romero is at his best, Spurs usually win.
Eric Dier – 5
Typical Dier performance – blocks, interceptions and tackles galore. However, the third goal was arguably down to him.
Clement Lenglet – 5
Calm and assured on the ball but struggled against the electric Saka today.
Ivan Perisic – 4
This was the Croatian’s worst performance in a Spurs shirt. Lack of quality in the final third – which usually isn’t the case – and defensively exposed by Saka.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg – 7
Simply the best Spurs player on the pitch this afternoon. Despite being constantly outnumbered by the Arsenal midfield, Hojbjerg managed to harass and stop a lot of the dangerous Arsenal attacks.
Rodrigo Bentancur – 6
A close second to being the best spurs player on the pitch. Bentancur, as always, retained the ball well and kickstarted attacks.
Richarlison – 5
Despite winning the penalty for the Lilywhites it was a frustrating afternoon for the ex-Everton man, who constantly harried and harassed the Arsenal team but could not really get himself into the game.
Harry Kane – 5
Converted his penalty calmly – as always – but could not get the better of William Saliba, who was fantastic for the home side.
Heung-min Son – 5
The South Korean got into some good positions and pressed well – but his final ball was woeful today.
