“Must Be Killing All The Haters” – Spurs Man Takes The Praise Following Impressive Palace Performance

|

Erik Lamela’s injury record at Tottenham Hotspur has always seen him be a mixed character at the club when it comes to the fanbase, as despite his clear talents on the pitch, plenty argue we just haven’t seen enough of him, and from him, in recent seasons – especially in light of the reported £25.7million fee we paid Roma for him back in August 2013.

The 27-year-old Argentine international has returned 31 goals and numerous assists in his 119 starts and 73 substitute showings and he’s certainly hit the ground running in the 2019/20 campaign as he’s chipped in with two goals and one assist in five Premier League matches so far.

With Lamela’s second goal of the season coming in last weekend’s clash with Crystal Palace, he came in for some good praise given his overall performance on the day and there will be plenty hoping we now see the best of him for the remainder of the season.
