More transfer talks with Villarreal

|

According to Spanish reporter Xavi Jorquera Marquez, Spurs have stepped up their efforts to move on unwanted midfield misfits Giovani Lo Celso and Tanguy N’dombele by engaging with further talks with Villarreal this weekend regarding a potential transfer regarding the mercurial pair.

Translated as: “The Villarreal board has left the meeting with Tottenham very happy.

“The club has taken a very important step for Gio  apart from the names of Pervis Estupiñán and Tanguy Ndombelé have come out.

The  like it a lot. A possible exchange has been considered.”

If Mr Marquez is to be believed here, then Villarreal have left this latest round of talks “very happy” with the deals on offer here, and that an “exchange” between left-back Pervis Estupinan and N’dombele is a possiblity.

Now I can’t vouch for Marquez’s track record with valid and reliable reports regarding transfers – whether he’s the second coming of David Ornstein or making this stuff up from his parents’ basement with his pants around his ankles, I can’t say – but as a reporter working for Esport Base and collaborating with Radio Castellon, two reliable Villarreal-based outlets, the signs are that this report is at least semi-credible.

Add that to the fact that we’ve been seemingly doing our best impression of Kid Rock by talking to Villarreal “all summer long” regarding a transfer for Lo Celso, as well as eyeing up Estupinan for a while, then it all starts to make sense. Moreover, the fact that N’dombele seems to have been offered to anyone floating about Europe with a semblance of a pulse further reinforces the report’s credibility.

Now whether or not any of these deals come to fruition, whether individually or as one, convoluted swap, remains to be seen, but it seems one to keep an eye on.

No one in their right mind is going to buy N’Dombele. Lo Celso ? seems a few people want him but no one wants to pay for him. Of course fans will continue to chant “get rid of him” with every player that falls out of favour as if it was that easy.

You are correct there jod, it isn’t that easy, some of us do know that, peops should realise Pro Footballers rule simple as that, will if they want, will not if they don’t. COYS

We’ll have to take a big loss to get rid of the unwanted. They were both very poor buys and did nothing for Spurs. One with only one leg and the other moody and lazy
