Reports from Italy indicate that Roma are ready to sell striker Mido in the summer to Tottenham Hotspur for £5million pounds.
The capital city club have been linked with a £15million move for Udinese hotshot Vincenzo Iaquinta and will need the sale of Mido to help fund the deal.
Mido certainly has seemed to have struck a chord with manager Martin Jol and underlined his value to the side with the winner in the five goal thriller with Blackburn last Sunday.
Reflecting on that victory Mido was delighted with the spirit and mentality Spurs showed at the Lane adding,’It was a vital win,Blackburn were three points behind us and we have opened up a gap again’
Tottenham supporters will be hoping Mido and the impressive Robbie Keane have their shooting boots on at Chelsea this weekend. This could be a good time to meet the Blues after their Champions League exit at Barcelona last night.
