Match Thread – With Spurs Wembley Dream Over, It’s Back To Wembley For Watford

|

It’s been a poor week for Tottenham Hotspur fans. Crashing out of the EFL Cup at the hands of Chelsea and then crashing out of the FA Cup at the hands of Crystal Palace as two potential routes to silverware elude us for yet another season.

With all hopes now resting on the Premier League itself or the Champions League, manager Mauricio Pochettino will be geeing the boys up to get back to winning ways as we welcome Watford to our part-time home this coming Wednesday.

Spurs may be boosted by the return of Son Heung-Min following the end to his Asian Cup hopes with his country last week, but unless I’ve missed something obvious, it’s still a case of as we were when it came to the injury problems we have.

The squad put out against Palace should’ve been enough for victory in many ways and Watford will be tough, but there’s enough in the group if the players step up and don’t let this wobble turn into a meltdown.

Is this the time to cross our fingers?
