Loanee Round-Up: Scarlett and Udogie shine again

|

After a rough weekend for us Spurs fans, it is worth trying to look at some positives from the weekend.

Arguably the brightest spark out of all the loanees this season has been Destiny Udogie. The Italian has gone from strength to strength this season – pushing his Udinese side into a surprising European battle. Udogie and his side carried on their impressive form this weekend, with a last-gasp 2-1 win over Hellas Verona.

Young star Dane Scarlett continued his fine form for Portsmouth, winning a penalty in a top-of-the-table clash against Ipswich. However, in the end, his side were 3-2 losers.

Troy Parrott is still yet to kickstart his Preston North End career as he was a second-half substitute in a 0-0 draw at Sunderland.

Tanguy Ndombele was a second-half substitute as his Napoli side were 3-1 victors against Torino, maintaining their place at the summit of Seria A.

Argentinian Giovani Lo Celso starred yet again for Villareal, but they disappointingly drew 0-0 away at Cadiz.

A Rennes side containing centre-half Joe Rondon moved within one place of the European spots with a 3-1 victory against Strasbourg.

Sergio Reguilon is still yet to make his debut for Spanish giants Atletico Madrid as he still recovers from pubalgia surgery.

Harry Winks is also yet to feature for Sampdoria as he still suffers from ankle problems. However, when he does return to the side, he will be met by a new manager, as Marco Giampoalo received his P45 on Sunday, after his side were defeated by a struggling Monza side.
