Leeds Confirm Expected Spurs Move In January

|

Tottenham Hotspur fans may have an opportunity in the New Year to see a little bit more of summer signing Jack Clarke as Leeds United have confirmed the speculation suggesting we would enact the recall clause in his loan deal owing to his lack of game time in 2019/20.

Having been impressed by his breakthrough year at Elland Road in 2018/19, Spurs paid a reported £8.5million for his services and we instantly loaned him back hoping to see him develop further under manager Marcelo Bielsa.

Unfortunately for all concerned, the 19-year-old has only made two starting appearances in the EFL Cup, and in terms of Championship action, he’s gained 19 minutes in one substitute showing.

Whether or not Mourinho has brought him back as a potential alternative option up top is open for debate, but I’d imagine by the end of the month (whether he features for us or not) we’ll see him head out again to the Championship with more of a guarantee of playing.
