‘Hold your head high’ – Loads of Tottenham fans rave over ‘absolute boss’ after Anfield loss

|

Tottenham fans were left disappointed at full-time yesterday as they fell to a 2-1 defeat at Anfield. However, the Lilywhites did have plenty to be pleased with, and nothing seems to have delighted them more than the shot-stopping display of the Argentine Paulo Gazzaniga.

The 27-year-old was nothing short of sublime throughout the clash. Across the 90 minutes, he pulled off an outstanding 12 saves and claimed two crosses (WhoScored), and at times he was a one-man wall keeping the likes of Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson at bay.

Ultimately, mistakes from Danny Rose and Serge Aurier saw the Lilywhits ship two second-half goals, costing the Lilywhites a result and costing Gazzaniga his clean sheet, but that shouldn’t take away from the performance of Tottenham’s gloveman, as the fans are still raving over him.

The fans are delighted with Gazzaniga’s display even if he couldn’t secure them a result and will be keen for him to continue his fine form.
