Football London report that Mourinho is keen on 24-year-old Benfica defender Alex Grimaldo, who has become an integral part of the Liga NOS system since his move from Barcelona in 2016.
The fullback has managed one goal and eight assists so far this season over his 39 outings in all competitions, which have all come in the starting line-up of manager Bruno Lage’s plans at the Estadio Sport Lisboa e Benfica.
With a Transfermarkt valuation of £31.5m, Grimaldo could be a sizeable transfer for Tottenham, yet supporters on social media were excited to be linked with the former Spanish youth international.
