Former head of recruitment Paul Mitchell has set his sights on signing Reo Griffiths for his new team RB Leipzig, reports the Mirror.

Mauricio Pochettino worked with the scout at Southampton before he joined us in late 2014. He then left in March last year and took up a role at the German club.

He would have no doubt have been keeping his eye on Reo with his contract situation still up in the air. The striker has not yet committed to a long-term deal and could leave in the summer.

No doubt, the club will be working very hard to keep him. He has scored 33 goals in all competitions this season, including two hat tricks.

The 17-year-old really made a name for himself in the 9-0 thrashing against Arsenal’s Under 18s this week. He scored four goals and provided assists for three others in Scott Parker side’s final game of the season in the Under 18 Premier League.
