Georges-Kevin N’Koudou joined Besiktas on a four-year deal over the summer, ending a three-year association with Tottenham. The 24-year-old struggled for form and playing time throughout his time at Spurs, but N’Koudou doesn’t seem to be faring a lot better in Besiktas.
As per Transfermarkt, the former French u21 international has made five appearances for his new club but has yet to score or make an assist. He’s made only three chances, whipped in just two accurate crosses and has yet to register a shot on target this season.
In his debut against Goztepe (August 23), N’Koudou failed to register a shot or create a chance. In his most recent appearance for Besiktas (Istanbul Basaksehir on August 23), the wide-man didn’t take a single shot, created only one chance and whipped in just one accurate cross in 90 minutes.
N’Koudou’s dribbling statistics are the only positive from his move to Turkey – he’s made 15 successful dribbles in 254 minutes of Super Lig football (one every 17 minutes). He’s tearing defences up but hasn’t shown much of an end-product at Besiktas.
The 24-year-old still has a lot to prove, but he’s showing glimpses of quality on the pitch and should improve throughout the season.
