Issa Diop has spent almost two years at West Ham but according to TEAMtalk he has told the club that he wants a move elsewhere in the summer, with Tottenham lined up as a potential destination.
There is little doubt that we need to improve our defence in the summer after conceding 40 goals in 29 league games, and with Jan Vertonghen likely heading for the exit there that need will become even greater.
Diop has been ever-present for the Hammers and although they too have struggled this term, the 24-year-old could be an interesting buy, having made 1.7 interceptions and 5.3 clearances per league game, per WhoScored.
Would Issa Diop be a good signing?
Yes
No
The challenge could be the interest from elsewhere, however, as well as the fact that West Ham reportedly want £60m for his signature.
Manchester United and Everton are believed to be interested, as well as Atletico Madrid, and though that underlines his pedigree it may force us to offer him a significant wage to lure him across London.
This would be a class signing. Young, strong, knows the premier league

Would be an awesome signing but not a chance Levy will sign him when he can get someone much worse for a few million less.
