‘Boy is nails’: Lots of Tottenham fans send man they’re ‘gonna need next season’ positive message after club tweet

Tottenham Hotspur’s Ben Davies has successfully undergone the knife and fans have taken to Twitter to send their well wishes to him on Twitter ahead of the upcoming campaign.

The left-back had to have surgery on one of his groins after feeling discomfort in it for the majority of the season (The Sun), although it did not bother him enough to take a break from playing.

It was originally believed he would have the operation following our disappointing defeat to Liverpool in the Champions League, however, he managed to hold out for a little longer as he played two whole matches for Wales in their efforts to qualify for the 2020 European Championships.

With a summer of recovery ahead, it could not have come at a better time for him as it is believed an injury of this magnitude could take around six weeks to fully heal, meaning he will be back just in time for pre-season.

It could also mean that Davies will be with us for the start of next season and will not be a member of the group that Mauricio Pochettino looks to offload this summer.

As fans do these days, many flocked to Twitter to wish him all the best with his recovery with plenty of them hoping he will make a speedy recovery whilst others stated that the club were going to need him next season. Here are some of their reactions…
