Not many nights can get as bad as the one Tottenham experienced last night, but even through all the drama and chaos, there was still one shining light in the form of Oliver Skipp.

The 19-year-old midfielder played the full 120 minutes as Spurs were knocked out on penalties by Norwich City with the Tottenham academy prodigy putting in a solid shift for the entire game as Skipp worked the midfield well and played a simple game that worked to the north London club’s benefit.

Yes

No

And the teenager youngster found himself being showered with praise well after the full-time whistle as many supporters on social media were impressed with what they saw from Skipp, with some Spurs fans even calling for the prospect to be promoted straight into the first-team and start for Jose Mourinho.

Here’s what lots of Tottenham fans had to say on Twitter about Skipp’s performance…

As stats from Transfermarkt show, Skipp has hardly featured for the first-team this season, playing just 237 minutes of football.
