There was every reason for Tottenham Hotspur fans to be positive yesterday evening as Spurs battled back from behind to take a point from Barcelona.
Travelling to the Nou Camp for the Champions League Group B tie, progression through to the last 16 was there for the taking and despite a slow start to the competition, we had put it firmly in our hands and as Lucas Moura levelled the scores up five minutes from the fulltime whistle, we dictated our own European fate for 2018/19.

With plenty of players come in for praise at the end of the game, manager Mauricio Pochettino had picked out Moussa Sissoko for the job he did, especially filling in at fullback, and plenty of fans reacting to the match on social media were more than on board with the gaffer’s words.

Davies is dependable but he’s not a patch on a fully fit Rose. In a way, I feel like we’ve almost signed 4 or 5 new players for various different reasons this season. Sissoko, Rose, Toby, Erik and Lucas. Sissoko’s been a revelation, best player on the pitch in the 1st half.

Sissoko has his critics, but there’s been a marked turn in his own form of late and a marked turn in how some fans view him and as long as he’s doing a job, long may that continue.
