Tottenham Hotspur fans knew that Christian Eriksen speculation wasn’t going to go anywhere this summer as the rumour mill strings every last ounce of content from the talk of Real Madrid’s interest in him, and of course, at Spurs, he’s not the only player subject to that speculation.
The latest twist comes from a report in outlet AS who lean on his recent words about his future, and rather predictably reverse course slightly and now suggest that Eriksen has become frustrated with Real’s dithering as they chase Paul Pogba.

They claim he’s now willing to sit down and listen to what the club has to offer, as if he wouldn’t have been open to that previously.
Some Spurs fans are convinced he’s off when you look at the reaction on social media.

Yet the media have taken the very same words, and used it as proof he’s off, he’s staying, he’s waiting for the call to discuss terms and any other way they can to create news, where in reality, at the moment no news exists.
Sometimes you have to go off the words actually spoken and all we have on record are Eriksen and manager Mauricio Pochettino – everything else should be treated with a pinch of salt.
