3 Shots, 4 Key Passes & Second Most Touches – 23 y/o Gives Spurs Fans Something To Cheer On Another Poor Night

|

There was very little for Tottenham Hotspur fans to celebrate during last night’s FA Cup fifth round tie with Norwich City at White Hart Lane.

Manager Jose Mourinho was looking for his side to bounce back from three defeats on the spin to book our place in the next round of the competition, but plenty of fans have their own thoughts about the starting XI he selected and even though we had the first half lead, he was hardly a great performance as we more sat back. Norwich should’ve been out of sight in the second half though, especially with how we finished the game, but with their leveller and Extra Time ending at one apiece – well, as we all know, the less said about the penalties part of the game is probably for the better.

Any Debate About Norwich MotM?

No, Giovani Lo Celso

Eric Dier

Jan Vertonghen

Gedson Fernandes (ignoring the penalty)

A number of fans won’t agree with statistics website Whoscored’s overall ratings on the day as I imagine for many, Gio Lo Celso was clearly the Man of the Match, probably with Jan Vertonghen in second place for his efforts.

Lo Celso did take top spot for them with 8.14, but the top five were completed by Eric Dier (7.54), Lucas Moura (7.34), Verts (7.32) and Gedson Fernandes (7.21).

Four losses on the trot is all that really matters, will things change at Turf Moor as we face Burnley this coming Saturday?
