Well Done Daniel!

If we believe (and in this case I do) the media, Daniel Levy refused to allow Adebayor to leave for West Ham on loan.

Now that must have been one hell of a decision to make. Sure he wanted Ade to be out of the club, but loaning him to West Ham, a team that are still a rival for a Prem place, is unthinkable. Can you imagine the debate if Adebayor scored the goals to give West Ham a European place, at our expense?

If we believe the rumour, Spurs were willing to part pay Emmanuel`s wages, to see him leave for a club that wouldn`t directly affect our own position, however when suggested moves to QPR and Stoke failed to happen, leaving only West Ham in the running, it suddenly and quite rightly reverted to a permanent or fee paying loan, with the Porn Kings paying all of his wages, something that West Ham, couldn`t or wouldn`t agree to.

There is also the position where we would either have had to replace Ade or gambled on finishing the season with two established strikers, which might tr might not have been worth the risk, but there are obviously limits to what Mr Levy will do, to get rid of his unwanted players. On this occasion, I feel he made the right call and the fact it annoys West Ham, makes it all the more satisfying…
