Although Tottenham Hotspurs’ start to the 2019/20 Premier League campaign can be described as being disappointing, it was far from a car crash and with the September international break over – as well as the transfer window – Spurs found their gear in Saturday’s clash with Crystal Palace and strolled to a comfortable 4-0 with a far more vintage performance.
Manager Mauricio Pochettino was rightly pleased with the showing, but now it’s time to turn our attentions to the first Champions League clash of the season as we face Olympiakos in our Group B clash on Wednesday evening.
After last years run to the Final, fans will be hoping for a repeat of that, but with fewer squeaky bum moments during the qualification process, but we can certainly go into the away leg of the tie in good confidence given the positives we can take from the Palace clash and our overall performance in the match – Son Heung-Min getting off the mark after his late suspension start to the campaign is a massive bonus.
