Spurs, Chelsea, Arsenal and Newcastle have all been linked in the Guardian, to Atletico Madrid striker Fernando Torres but the report also warns would-be suitors that the player wants to stay at the club he supports. Nicer weather as well 😉 Torres said: ‘There’s always been talk about lots of clubs but I only know about one firm offer and that’s from Newcastle because the club confirmed it to me’

Vital Spurs asked which player should be given a chance to start. The number one choice, which is no surprise when you consider his position is currently taken up by Paul Stalteri*, was Stephen Kelly with 41%. Aaron Lennon was next in line for selection at 30%. Both Philip Ifil and Tom Huddlestone got 11%, Danny Murphy 4% and Andy Reid was the one left holding the group up with just 3%.

The Daily Mirror reported today that Spurs are chasing the signing of Real Mallorca striker Juan Fernando Arango. They also linked us with Juventus defender Jonathan Zebina

Tottenham have beaten off two Premiership rivals to sign 16-year-old Czech Republic youth striker Tomas Pekhart from Slavia Prague. Pekhart will join Spurs on a three year deal from July 1st.
