Spurs meeting with Blackburn Rovers on Sunday will effectively decide how their season is going to stack up. A loss will loosen their hold on the fourth place and they will limp into the Chelsea match as losers rather than European challengers, with the inevitable result. Unfortunately Blackburn Rovers will present the same sort of problems that Tottenham have already faced from teams below them. Blackburn will try and intimidate them with hard tackling while the speed of Bellamy and guile of Dickov and Bentley will prove a handful. Just be thankful that Morten Pederson is out of the equation. It’s time to see whether our boys and their manager have learned any lessons by being kicked around by lesser mortals. We are going to need a little more desire, a little more intent and all the hunger these well-paid stars can come up with.

Otherwise mid-table mediocrity looms again. Let’s try and down tune the pretty football until we are two up. Know what I mean Martin?

Vital Quotes:

‘Chris Houghton says: One thing you know about Blackburn away from home is that they will be a very disciplined side with a very good work ethic. They are a fit side and any team that beats them has to work hard for the result.’ Full article on the official site:Click Here
