Morning all, I’ve been reading all the articles about who Spurs need to buy as we are missing Verts for the start of the season and I was just wondering if rather than purchase another CB who we then have to keep happy when all 4 are fit, is it time to promote one of our development players to the 1st team squad.
We have 2 very promising players ready to make the breakthrough IMO in Dominic Ball and CCV. Ball had a very successful loan spell at Rangers last season whilst CCV has captained our U21’s for a while and made the 1st team bench a couple of times.
I would be happy for one of these to become the 4th CB for our squad as they will be happy to be on the bench whilst Verts is unavailable and can compete for a place in the league cup games.
Imagine what they will learn from training and playing with the likes of Toby and Verts! I would probably go for CCV over Ball at this point but that’s just me. What would you all do 1 – Promote CCV 2 – Promote Ball 3 – Buy another CB
