Tottenham Hotspur went into today’s Premier League clash at Wembley Stadium against Burnley looking to close that gap on Liverpool in second spot.
In a week that saw a huge confidence boost from our performance and result against Barcelona in the Champions League, manager Mauricio Pochettino’s side were looking to make it four wins on the spin as we faced Sean Dyche’s side in league action.
For large parts of the game, despite our absolute dominance over the visitors who didn’t register a single shot on target, it looked like Spurs would fall short on getting the win but when he’s on song, it doesn’t take Christian Eriksen long to have an impact for us and he went and did it again.
Coming on in the 65th minute for Lucas Moura, he grabbed our winner in stoppage-time to return all three points and keep our current run of form going and it was a deserved three points.
Spurs’ habit of sneaking victories continues!
