With a number of seemingly pie in the sky transfer targets featuring on Tottenham Hotspur’s summer rumour mill, plenty of fans have already questioned why we didn’t have an interest in Leicester City loanee Youri Tielemans given the year the Belgian international has had in the Premier League.
The 22-year-old Monaco midfielder made the switch to the King Power Stadium on a loan deal over the January transfer window and he actually made his debut for them, in their 3-1 defeat to us. In the second half of the year he made 13 starting appearances for the side, contributing three goals and four assists as he adjusted to our top flight, and he’s impressed plenty.
However, it’s been reported by the Telegraph that Leicester have cooled on his signing owing to the £40million valuation placed on him.
Given the previous links with Spurs, with Leicester seemingly dropping out of the race for him, these fans would love to see him arrive at White Hart Lane.
Decent price, even 50m would be good

We should never have let him join Monaco in the first place. Spurs need to get on this asap. Could prob get him for lower than £40m if we lucky. #THFC #COYS
