Earlier this afternoon Tottenham Hotspur learned their fate for the Champions League quarter-final stage and low and behold, we’ve been given a meeting with Manchester City.
It’s an all English quarter-final affair for manager Mauricio Pochettino.
The full quarter-final draw:
Ajax vs Juventus
Liverpool vs Porto
Tottenham vs Manchester City
Barcelona vs Manchester United
Turning our eyes to the semi-final draw:
Tottenham or Manchester City vs Ajax or Juventus
Manchester United or Barcelona vs Liverpool or Porto
The first leg of the final eight tie will take place at our new stadium on April 9, with the return leg at the Etihad coming on April 17. Our Premier League clash back in Manchester takes place three days later.
It’s undoubtedly going to be a tough tie whichever way fans look at it and we could’ve received an easier clash on paper, but Spurs have shown what they are capable of when in top form and we have to hope that across both legs we see the best of the side.
